Arteriovenous Fistula (AVF)

An arteriovenous fistula (AVF) develops when a vascular surgeon joins the artery to the vein. The purpose is to improve blood flow to the vein to help the hemodialysis machine withdraw blood from the vein, filter it, and return it to the bloodstream.

Stoke & Carotid Artery

Blood reaches the brain through the carotid artery in the neck. Fatty deposits (plaques) clog the carotid artery, increasing the risk of a stroke.

Thoracic Aortic Dissection

The thoracic aortic diseases include dissections of the aorta, aneurysms, and traumatic aortic injuries. When the innermost layer of the aorta is injured, blood enters between the aortic wall layers, causing aortic dissection. It may lead to life-threatening bleeding or sudden death.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA)

The aorta is the human body's largest artery. Its job is to transport oxygen-rich blood to various body organs. The aorta section running through the abdomen is the abdominal aorta. An aneurysm occurs when a blood vessel swells up due to weakness in the blood vessel wall. Ultrasound screening helps in the early detection of AAA.

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)

A build-up of fatty deposits causes PAD in the arteries (atherosclerosis), damaging any artery from the aorta to the foot vessels. PAD most commonly presents with the symptom of claudication. Claudication is muscle soreness in the lower limbs that occurs when walking.

Varicose Veins

Varicose Veins are a condition characterized by enlargement and twisting of veins. It commonly affects the veins present in the legs due to increased pressure.

Valves prevent the backflow of the blood in veins and allow the blood to flow only towards the heart. When these valves become defective, their leaflets fail to meet, causing the blood to pool up and the veins to swell.

Diabetic Foot

Poorly controlled diabetes can result in nerve damage and poor blood circulation. Foot ulcers, blisters, pain, and infections can result from this. Diabetes patients must take special care to avoid foot complications.

Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS)

Any condition that compresses blood vessels or nerves in the region between your collarbone and your first rib (thoracic outlet) may lead to thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS). The most common symptoms are pain and numb fingers.
